Greenpeace has always been very literal in their ad campaigns - the melting polar bear, the school of bottles in the sea and the head and shoulderless person sitting on the beach with the tagline ‘deforestation affects humans too’. But with this ad they’ve decided to investigate the brighter side of being literal. And although one feels a bit startled when confronted with a pensioner’s behind during the first seconds of the ad, we do feel that it brings the message across in a very effective manner. And yes, even you with the multibillion dollar multinational corporation can switch of a light every now and again.
